What do you think the world needs more of?

Marking the anniversary of the 2003 bombing of the UN headquarters in Baghdad, Iraq, which killed 22 people, World Humanitarian Day is an opportunity to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice and pay tribute to those who continue to help people around the world.

Every day we see and hear images and stories of pain and suffering in our own neighborhoods and in countries far away. But we also find acts of kindness, great and small. World Humanitarian Day is a global celebration of people helping people.

This World Humanitarian Day is the beginning of a month long, first of its kind project to turn words into currency. You are invited to share a word you think “the world needs more of” and make it a reality for millions of people in need around the world. Find out more and join the campaign by visiting WorldHumanitarianDay.org.
