The one-hour course works through real-life scenarios in various contexts and highlights some of the key features of the Sphere standards. It allows users to explore the versatility of the standards and how they can use them in different ways and different situations.
Developed by the Sphere Secretariat in collaboration with the Humanitarian Leadership Academy (HLA), the one-hour course is free of charge. There is no prerequisite to taking it.
The course is hosted on “kaya,” the HLA learning platform (you will need to create an account if you don’t have one already). It is available in English, Arabic, French and Spanish.

Both courses complement each other. While Sphere for Managers gives a quick overview, The Sphere Handbook in Action offers a deeper exploration of the subject through a 15-hour study based on five fictional scenarios.
